To help us drive excellence, you’ll get to:

·         Develop and drive the development of departmental strategy and goals along with identifying and tracking key measurable to support the goals. 

·          Coordinate activities for department to maintain accurate inventory levels ensuring that production schedules meet or exceed customer requirements.

·         Forecast customer demand for monthly and weekly budget requirements as well as planning capacity needs for the facility.

·         Train and delegate responsibilities to department associates to always support sustainable performance meeting customer demand and department metrics.

·         Responsible for the coaching and mentoring of the department by providing feedback with regards to KPIs related to personnel performance.

·         Drive cost reduction using systematic approach identifying waste through continuous improvement for products and process.

This full-time role is a part of our Bluffton leadership team and reports to the Plant Manager. 

Required experience:

·      Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or five years plus related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as a Materials Manager, preferably in a metals environment or equivalent experience.
• Proven leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills.
•  Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.
