Preschool Head Teacher (WRCC WINDHAM)

Implement a Preschool Center-based Program with children and families in a team environment.

37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri, This position is located at 478 Valley Street, Willimantic, CT 06226. Hours of Operation 7:15am-5:15pm

THIS POSITION IS FOR WINDHAM REGIONAL COMMUNITY COUNCIL, INC. EARLY CHILDHOOD PROGRAM (WRCC), NOT TVCCA.

• Design activities that allow parents the opportunity to observe their children and to engage in activities with their children.
•  Help parent/guardians to provide learning opportunities that enhance their child’s growth and development.
• Recruit new families by maintaining contacts and networking with family agencies in the area.
•  Supervise staff as assigned
• Adhere to WRCC, Inc Early Childhood Program Policies and Procedures.
•  Maintain accurate records and timely completion of required paperwork
• Maintain confidentiality.
•  Have access to reliable insured transportation.
• Obtain a physical exam (statement of good health) with T.B. test upon hire and updated every two years.
• Physically able to interact with children birth to five, which includes lifting, bending and carrying.
• Willingness to take on additional tasks, as required.
• Adhere to the chain of responsibility
• Arrive at work on time and work for the scheduled shift
• Maintain attendance and compete job responsibilities to meet the program needs in the allotted time
