JOB SUMMARY: Perform initial nutrition assessment, including collecting and reviewing anthropometrical data and assist in the development and implementation of participant nutrition care plan and food prescription. As part of the WIC team, responsible for provision of direct client services in the form of client centered nutrition education and counseling, which includes clerical functions as needed to optimize clinic flow and excellence in customer service. Participate in the development and implementation of group nutrition activities, contribute to the annual program plan and attend all State WIC and local agency meetings. In addition, this position requires working evenings, weekends, and a flexible work schedule to meet the needs of the clinic.

Required Skills
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution with a major in foods and nutrition, community nutrition, nutrition education, or nutritional sciences and one years of related experience or a Master’s Degree from an institution accredited by a recognized regional accrediting body in nutritional sciences, community nutrition, clinical nutrition, dietetics, public health nutrition, home economics with a major in foods and nutrition. Persons with a Master’s Degree in nutrition who do not have a Bachelor’s degree in foods and nutrition must have successfully completed the equivalent subject matter at the graduate level to compensate for any courses not completed at the undergraduate level.
