HIRING SALARY:       $10.00 to $15.00 per hour (based on experience)

HOURS:                    25 hours per week, Evenings and Every Other Weekend

LOCATION:                   Florida Public Safety Institute – Gadsden County

MAJOR FUNCTIONS:  This position will be responsible for working independently on assigned tasks, and will report to Facilities Office Manager.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Welcome and register guests checking in to the housing facility
  • Generate room keycards for guests
  • Assist guests with any issues that may arise
  • Communicate with FPSI staff in order to maintain efficient records for billing purposes
  • Monitor vacant rooms in between occupancy. Make sure all items are replaced and in working order, observe any unusual odors, uninvited guests, areas needing custodial or maintenance attention
  • Maintain daily communication with FPSI staff to provide timely service regarding upkeep and repairs to resident’s rooms
  • Communicate with FPSI staff to maintain professional and courteous services for residential facility guests

MINIMUM TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:  Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be able to work independently and have excellent hospitality skills; Knowledge of Windows operating system, MS Office, and related desktop applications; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word. Organized, efficient and timely.
