HIRING SALARY:         Between $30,000.00 and $36,000.00 annually 

HOURS:                        8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M., Monday – Friday

MAJOR FUNCTION:   The Graphic Designer position is housed within the Communications and Marketing Division and will report to the Director of Integrated Marketing. The Graphic Designer will work with the Director of Integrated Marketing to design projects assigned from various departments across the college from conception to production as well as create ads, billboards, and digital content to promote TCC. The ideal candidate for this position has a strong work ethic is able to work under tight deadlines. The candidate must be able to conceptualize visuals for a variety of projects based on the collateral request using specific design software including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, and other Adobe Creative Suite software. 

Duties will include, but are not limited to:       

  • Designing logos, advertisements, newsletters, brochures, social media graphics, ect., along with collateral for campaigns and publications
  • Editing photos and content for production quality
  • Creating PowerPoint and other design templates

Duties will include, but are not limited to:       

  • Graphic design for logos, campaigns, publications, and advertisements 
  • Photography (campus, events as assigned) and photo shoot management. 
  • File management (photos, logos, layouts). 

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:  Requires two (2) years of postsecondary education and two (2) years of experience working full-time in the graphic design industry. Years of professional experience can substitute for educational requirements. Preference provided for some photography and photoshoot management experience.


  • Be able to create content that is visually appealing and professional quality
  • To work both independently and with a team-based approach while providing creative and technical contributions to projects
  • Have a strong creative vision for project direction, even if none is provided
  • Work well in a multi-cultural and multi-ethnic environment with students, faculty, and staff
  • Have knowledge of typography, color theory, branding, and design principles
  • Be up-to-date on industry standards regarding printing, pre-press, and digital output processes; including stock, inks, and preparing files for final production
  • Be skilled in creativity, computer graphics techniques, production, and design
  • Possess strong organizational, communication, and editing skills, along with attention to detail
