HIRING SALARY: $12 to $15 (salary commensurate with degree)
HOURS: Up to 25 hours a week; Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-7:30 PM.

The Academic Success Coach is responsible for assisting with the development, implementation and assessment of services and programs aimed at empowering students toward success.
Major Function: Implements and assesses services aimed at increasing student persistence to graduation; works as a bridge between student success and other campus areas, including academic advising and learning commons. Provides tools, tips and resources to empower students towards academic success. Provides strategic direction and support for First Time in College Students. Responds to general student inquiry through a variety of communication methods, including in-person inquiry, telephone, email contacts, and other communication modalities; maintains regular contact with students and provide assistance. Assist students with establishing schedules for completion of academic work. Meet with students to establish these schedules, with limited/periodic follow-up to ensure utilization and progress toward goals.
MINIMUM TRAINING/EXPERIENCE: Associates Degree, strong computer and communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree.
SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS WILL DEMONSTRATE THE FOLLOWING: Knowledge of good customer service practices such as greeting and directing visitors, phone etiquette, and other effective interpersonal skills. Proficiency in computer skills such as email, Microsoft Office software, internet searching, and the ability to troubleshoot various hardware including printing. Ability to show discretion and good judgment in handling confidential matters. Ability to handle stressful and busy conditions. Ability to demonstrate effective verbal and written interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
