Health Education and Nutrition Adjunct Faculty

Tallahassee Community College announces openings for the following adjunct faculty positions in the Science and Mathematics division for the 2021-22 academic year. 

MAJOR FUNCTION: Adjunct faculty will provide service and support of college policies and procedures, along with opportunities for professional development.   

We are currently seeking adjuncts for the following positions:

CONCEPT OF POSITIVE LIVING: 

Requires a master’s degree in health education, public health, wellness, fitness, physical education, or field related to good health and positive life skills or 18 graduate semester hours in health education, public health, physical education, wellness, fitness, or field related to good health and positive life skills + Master’s degree.   

STRESS MANAGEMENT: 

Requires a master’s degree in health education, public health, wellness, fitness, physical education, or field related to good health and positive life skills or 18 graduate semester hours with a concentration in health education or public health field + Master’s degree.  

NUTRITION: 

Requires a master's degree in nutrition or dietetics or 18 graduate semester hours in nutrition, or dietetics + Master's degree.   

In addition to the minimum qualifications* listed for this position, all prospective faculty are expected to demonstrate the following characteristics: 

  1. Commitment to student retention and success
  2. Commitment to development and assessment of student learning
  3. Use of technology and innovative approaches to enhance teaching and learning, including distance learning and alternative delivery systems
  4. Willingness to support a diverse population of learners inside and beyond the classroom
  5. Ability to work in a participatory and collegial setting
