TCC’s Division of Workforce Development is looking for a marketing communications professional to coordinate online and offline communications to promote, engage and recruitment for the Rebuild Florida grant. This position will work in collaboration with TCC’s Department of Marketing and Communications. The ideal person for this position must also have experience identifying and building long-term relationships with target audiences by:
- Promoting Rebuild Florida activities and programs
- Coordinating promotional material to distribute in offline channels
- Conducting targeted outreach to identify new business opportunities
- Assisting in crafting messages for outreach
- Networking with local business groups, community and civic organization to identify business prospects and new customers
- Developing an outreach plan with planned deliverables/outcomes
- Reporting; Provide ongoing updates regarding outreach efforts
MINIMUM TRAINING/EXPERIENCE: High School diploma and four (4) years of related experience or a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related field and two (2) years of relevant experience working with social media, print promotions and communications planning.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment. Advanced skills in creativity, computer graphics techniques, production, and design. Ability to write marketing materials for the college including publications, Web content and social media. Knowledge of journalistic, feature creative and social media writing techniques. Knowledge of computer related hardware and software as well as audio/visual technology. Proficient computer skills. Effective time management. Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs and use of the Internet. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in English both written and verbal. Ability to multitask. Ability to provide excellent customer service. Ability to work independently using effective public relations skills with little direction. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships. Ability to analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action. Ability to meet schedules and time lines. Ability to plan and organize work. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
