The Admission Recruiter is a naturally persuasive and creative problem solver who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with non-standard and varied working hours. This self-motivated, enthusiastic, and goal-oriented professional possesses exceptional presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to follow direction, solve problems, manage multiple priorities, and achieve goals. This position is a sales-oriented admissions and prospect management role, responsible for managing and expanding recruitment territory while meeting assigned enrollment and net revenue goals. Daily responsibilities include engaging with a large number of prospective students and their families through extensive phone outreach, personalized emails, texts, notes, individual appointments, and group presentations. The role requires strategic planning of recruitment activities, extensive outreach, and frequent travel to connect with prospective students and achieve institutional goals.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Employment duties include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct daily outreach to prospective students through extensive phone calls, personal emails, texts, and written notes, as well as one-on-one appointments and group presentations
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies within an assigned territory, involving frequent travel
- Plan and participate in recruitment activities, including evening and weekend events, campus tours, and group information sessions
- Engage with parents and students to guide them through the application and financial planning processes
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the university’s academic programs, campus life, events, athletics, housing, financial planning, billing processes, and key dates to serve as a reliable resource for prospective students
- Collaborate with the Associate Director of Recruitment and athletics coaches to manage NCAA Division I athletic recruitment processes, including pre-read applications and coordinating tours and events tailored for student-athletes and their families
- Cultivate, engage, and convert prospective students through personalized communication while accurately documenting all interactions in the CRM (Technolutions SLATE)
- Generate actionable next steps, such as application submissions, FAFSA completion, enrollment deposits, and registration
- Evaluate applications, recommend admissions decisions to the committee, and review files for scholarship eligibility
- Communicate decisions and scholarship awards to students promptly
- Make financial planning and packaging calls to assist students in navigating the enrollment process
- Research, plan, and execute recruitment travel in both fall and spring by assessing productivity from previous years and coordinating visits with high schools, guidance counselors, and educational fairs
- Must be able and willing to operate a motor vehicle, reserve space and lodging in hotels, book and take flights, and perform other duties associated with in-state, and national, travel for both short and extended periods; extensive travel by air and automobile is required
- Perform other duties as assigned, ensuring adaptability and collaboration with the Admissions team

Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university required

Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record as determined by the University’s auto insurance carrier.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Knowledge of higher education, and the college admissions process
- Experience in recruitment, sales, marketing, retail, and other business-like environments
- Fluency in Spanish language desired
Work Environment: The Enrollment Management division is in an open-aired work environment with about 20-30 employees working at the same time. Noise levels can be high at times, during meetings, and calls. Office space is inside, but Admissions events, and some travel require work to be done outside. This is an on-site position on the DeLand campus, where being in the office to assist families and team members is required.
