The Part-Time Graphic Designer supports Stetson University College of Law by playing a pivotal role within the Marketing and Communications department, exhibiting exemplary graphic design, print production, and project management skills. Serving as a member of the Communications and Marketing team, the graphic designer works in conjunction with other members of the Stetson Law Communications and Marketing team to create online and print marketing materials in accordance with brand guidelines. In alignment with Stetson’s Strategic Priorities, the graphic designer will contribute to a high-performing and relationship-rich culture of inclusive excellence.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Employment duties include, but are not limited to:
- Utilize graphic design skills to create marketing materials from start to finish
- Create and disseminate email through a system similar to Mailchimp
- Create graphics for social media and digital monitors
- Audit the Stetson Law website for design, consistency, accuracy, and brand adherence
- Communicate with department representatives to formulate strategy for design
- Support social media efforts and web content manager, as needed
Required Skills
- Familiarity with print production
- Excellent project management skills
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative suite, particularly InDesign, Acrobat, and Photoshop
- Proficiency with Basecamp or similar project management software
- Understanding of design specs, digital files, and the print production process
- Support the University’s Mission and Values in their role
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, fine arts, marketing, or a related field
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite design software and Microsoft Office
- 5-10 years of experience in a creative role, preferably within an advertising agency or similar environment, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in graphic design, art direction, and concept development

- Strong understanding of marketing principles and the ability to integrate creative concepts with marketing strategies

- Detail-oriented with a passion for excellence, proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines while using strategic, critical thinking, and problem solving
- Responsive and available when needed
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; self-starter who can work under limited supervision
- A self-starter, responsive, highly motivated, flexible, have excellent project management skills, and contribute to a positive and collaborative working environment
- Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and competition, continuously seeking opportunities to innovate and improve the creative process
Work Environment: This is a twenty to twenty five-hour-a-week, hybrid position, with the possibility of fully remote work. Only those in U.S. Eastern time zone will be considered. Ideal candidate lives in the Tampa Bay, FL area.
