Specific Job Title: Treasury Analyst
Reports to: Assistant Controller
Campus: Queens
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Treasury Analyst is responsible for assisting with cash management and supporting treasury operations.
Essential Functions:

Streamline and report cash activities to assess daily cash needs and liquidity management.

Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts.

Help prepare annual and multi-year cash flow projections.

Reconcile daily transactions to banking reports, including investigating and resolving discrepancies with cash transactions.

Assess requests for wire transfers and ACH payments for completeness and accuracy and ensure compliance with the University policies and procedures and banking guidelines.

Process wire transfers and ACH payments into multiple banking systems for approval.

Summarize and prepare completed wire transfers and ACH payments for recording by Accounts Payable.

Serve as treasury liaison between the University departments and banking partners in managing any discrepancies or issues encountered in the daily banking process.

Support foreign currency processes, including summarizing foreign exchange trades and rates, maintaining settlement instructions, and communicating with General Accounting for recording.

Record Paris Association financial transactions and generate summary reports for review.

Review and process Rome interdepartmental chargebacks.

Coordinate the distribution of investment activities and statements to external parties and internal personnel.

Develop, update, implement, and monitor compliance with treasury policies and procedures.

Assist with Purchasing Card program activities, as necessary.

Recruit, train, and supervise student workers, as necessary.

Perform other related duties and special projects as may become necessary.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.

Supervisory Responsibility:
The position may supervise student workers who assist with specific tasks.
Work Environment:
The job operates in a professional office environment.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as personal computers, printers, etc.
Physical Demands:
Physical demands would be of a typical office environment with the employee required to sit for long periods of time at a computer. Communicate by phone and email with various departments and outside vendors.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This position may require longer hours during the week for audits and to meet deadlines, as necessary.
Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

1 to 3 years of related experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:

Experience in cash management and treasury function.

Knowledge of QuickBooks.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual salary for this position is $64,350.
