P/T Temporary Admission Recruiter
Office of Admission
Position Status: Seasonal, temporary staff,
Dates: July/August – January/February (6 months)
Reporting to the Associate Director of Undergraduate Admission, SI Campus, the Admission Recruiter is a full-time, temporary, seasonal position within the Office of Admission. This position is instrumental in the execution daily processing responsibilities in meeting undergraduate student recruitment goals.
Based out of the Queens campus, the Admission Recruiter position is expected to:
- Research, develop and execute a full recruitment schedule in collaboration with the Associate Director of Admission
- Coordinate, plan, and host recruitment events, including but not limited to high school visits and college fairs
- Provide recruitment reports and updates as necessary
- Cultivate strong working relationships with guidance and college counselors within given recruitment territory
- Other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate must be willing to travel, work evenings and weekends and juggle multiple tasks. The ideal candidate must also work well individually and as part of a team. Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as a high energy level are essential.
- A Bachelor’s degree and a valid driver license are required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required. Knowledge of Banner and Technolutions Slate is preferred.
- If access to a University vehicle is required for the position, a DMV check for driving record and valid driver's license is also required.
