ANNUAL SALARY: $57,000 - $63,000
FLSA STATUS: Salary/Exempt
HOURS: 37.5 hours per week. Work may include evenings and weekends as determined by the College

JOB SUMMARY:
Promote lawful behavior and protect the welfare of students, faculty and staff through planning, oversight, and coordination of security operations. Ensure order and procedures are adhered to for all SC4 properties. Manage the Campus Safety Department by supervising, monitoring, training and assessing the performance of security staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise Campus Safety personnel including assigning and distributing duties, training, and monitoring performance.
- Schedule department staff to assure an adequate security presence at all times for all SC4 properties.
- Ensure all housing units and supporting buildings are patrolled, monitored and secured.
- Ensure compliance of the Clery Act / VAWA and all related regulations and serve as Campus Security Authority as outlined by the Clery Act.
- Oversee department budget and authorize expenditures.
- Maintain emergency procedures, general safety materials and emergency notification protocols.
- Plan and conduct safety and emergency training programs for staff and students.
- Oversee maintenance of daily activity logs, emergency drills, public safety records, and crime reports/statistics. Review all Campus Patrol reports.
- Maintain security controls for issued college keys or access.
- Act as after-hours point of contact for building alarms.
- Maintain a working knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and a working relationship with local law enforcement agencies.
- Serve on college committees as assigned.
- Effectively represent and act as an ambassador for the College to faculty, staff, students and visitors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Executive Director of Human Resources and Compliance.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or 1-2 years successful security experience.
- Five years administrative and/or supervisory experience preferred.
