Welcome Center Clerk
 
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full-Time and Part-Time. Hours vary depending on full-time or part-time position; some flexing of hours and schedule to include weekend and evening hours may be required as determined by the college to meet needs.
 
CLASSIFICATION: ESP, Pay Band P 
 
HOURLY WAGE: $16.25 per hour
 
FLSA STATUS: Hourly/Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY: The Welcome Center Clerk works with internal and external constituents in the processing and delivery of student information and provides support to Welcome Center visitors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintain/process student information; understand and adhere to confidentiality requirements and FERPA provisions.    
  • Communicate enrollment and records-related information to internal and external constituents, assist with visitor requests, check-in students for advising assistance, and direct building traffic while always providing high-level service.
  • Enter data into the College’s student information system as requested. 
  • Assist the department with projects as requested. 
  • Cross-trained in various areas of the college to effectively provide service to internal and external constituents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
 
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Supervision received from the Assistant Registrar (as assigned).
 
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Associate degree is preferred. Will consider applicants in the process of obtaining an associate's degree. Two years of experience in a related area is preferred. 
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High degree of computer literacy.
  • Must possess a professional attitude, initiative, and the ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with faculty and staff at all levels. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; attention to detail and accuracy.
