Institutional Data Specialist
 
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full-Time, 52 weeks
 
CLASSIFICATION: Career Plan
 
ANNUAL SALARY: $45,000-$48,000 based on skills, qualifications, and experience
 
FLSA STATUS: Salary/Non-Exempt
 
HOURS: 37.5 hours per week. Work includes evening and weekend hours as determined by the college.

  • Up to thirty-eight (38) paid time off days annually (prorated based on hire date).

JOB SUMMARY: Provide analysis and support to Institutional Data Department for the completion of institutional requests and state and federal funding reporting completion. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Extract, collect, and gather institutional data from a variety of sources
  • Analyze institutional data to support completion of data requests
  • Report or share institutional data to internal and external stakeholders as appropriate and needed
  • Support administration and analysis of surveys as assigned
  • Assist in the completion of state and federal institution reporting as assigned
  • Generate routinely produced internal reports (e.g., enrollment, retention, graduation)
  • Suggest data sets to help support college decision-makers
  • Perform other duties as assigned
 
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Executive Director of Institutional Data
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Experience conducting statistical analyses and with software platforms for statistical analysis
  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of constituents while fulfilling a world-class service function
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Commitment to providing outstanding customer service
  • Available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's degree
  • Experience working in higher education
  • Experience with administrative student information systems, preferably Colleague
  • Experience with survey design platforms (e.g., SurveyMonkey)
  • Experience with computer database systems and reporting/extraction tools (e.g., Informer)
  • Experience with qualitative techniques of data analysis
