The Product & Application Trainer will be the responsible for the development and execution of product training programs at Spacesaver, including, but not limited to, product features and benefits, solution design, product application, competitive comparisons, and sales positioning strategy. This role will focus on training for internal and external team members to increase expertise within across the Spacesaver Group, primarily with sales and design teams.

•     Lead, develop, and deliver product and application training to internal and external (Area Contractor/Distributor) teams to assist in achieving annual sales targets.

•     Develop and effectively deliver presentations on Spacesaver products, focused on features/benefits, applications, and markets.

•     Develop, coordinate, and conduct training sessions at Area Contractor/Distributor locations in alignment with new product launches and go-to-market strategies.

•     Develop annual training schedule, content, and itinerary, including Basic Product & Sales School, Spacesaver University curriculum (internal and external), Webinars, and supplemental training.

•     Perform ongoing needs analysis to determine what methods and subjects of training and development should be provided to Spacesaver team members and Area Contractors/Distributors.

•     Assure that training programs are effective through continuous training assessments that evaluate and measure results. Surveys, evaluations, and metrics are required to assess effectiveness and return on training investment.

•     Work closely with Marketing, Market Research, Product Management, Vertical Market Management, and others to be aware of market trends, competition, product requirements, distribution issues, etc.

•     Work closely with Marketing, Product Managers and Vertical Market Managers on new and core product training requirements and new product launches.

•     Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to become a Spacesaver product and application expert.

•     Develop a thorough understanding of our competitors’ products to develop competitive comparisons and positioning strategies.

•     Attend trade shows, conferences and other networking events as needed to interact with end users, teammates, Area Contractors/Distributors, and others to promote training, competitive intel, and foster growth.

Required Skills

•    Bachelor’s degree in business, Communications, Education, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of sales, marketing, or product experience. 
•    Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, team members and customers.
•    Demonstrated ability to effectively develop and deliver presentations and/or training materials.
•    Must be able to multi-task many projects on an ongoing basis.
•    Must be team member and customer focused.
•    Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
•    Must be self-directed, action oriented and highly motivated.
•    Must have strong organizational skills, time management skills, deadline driven, and be attentive to detail.
•    Proficiency with suite of Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint and Teams.
•    Flexibility and willingness to conduct training outside of normal business hours on occasion.
•    Ability to travel up to 40% travel is essential to success in the role.
