POSITION SUMMARY

As a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst, you will be crucial in protecting the organization's information systems and data from cyber threats. Some of your responsibilities will include safeguarding sensitive information, monitoring networks for potential breaches, responding to security incidents, and keeping up with the latest cybersecurity trends and threats.  You will work with other teams to promote a “security first” culture.  This involves a combination of proactive and reactive strategies to ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and availability.

What you’ll do:

• Monitor, analyze and respond to cybersecurity incidents, threats, and vulnerabilities.
• Lead and conduct security assessments, audits, and penetration testing to proactively identify vulnerabilities and improve security posture.
• Develop, implement, and manage cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices aligned with industry frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC 2).
• Conduct security awareness training and provide guidance to employees to promote a culture of security and vigilance within the organization.  (e.g. Phishing Campaigns, Cybersecurity Month)
• Manage, tune, and optimize security tools and platforms (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, vulnerability scanners, and cloud security tools).
• Implement security measures for AI systems, focusing on secure AI development, threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and protection against adversarial attacks.
• Provide guidance on secure development practices (DevSecOps).  Collaborate closely with development, DevOps, and AI teams to ensure secure design and implementation of technologies.
• Provides technical expertise regarding security-related concepts to operational teams within the Information Technology Department and the business.
• Stay up to date with the latest cyber threats, attack techniques, and industry best practices, and make proactive recommendations to enhance security posture.

What you’ll need to be successful:

• Technical Skills
• • Technical knowledge of all aspects of I.T. Infrastructure including cloud environments, desktop and server operating systems, network infrastructure such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Azure cloud experience including security configuration and threat mitigation.  Multi-Cloud experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerShell, APIs, and other scripting languages.
  • Working experience with tools such as CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender Suite, Stellar AI XDR, Microsoft Sentinel, and Nessus Professional.
  • Technical understanding of risk and vulnerability management and attack surface reduction techniques.
  •  Functional knowledge of technologies such as CASB, ZTNA, SASE, and VPN.
  • Familiarity with AI security best practices, including threat modeling for machine learning applications, adversarial ML risks, secure data handling, and protection of AI models.
  • Technical knowledge of static code analysis tools such as Sonar Cloud is a plus.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Be a proficient problem-solver that can work autonomously.  Be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Customer focused and security first mentality.

What you bring to the table:

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least 5 years of experience in a core cybersecurity discipline. I.T. infrastructure, or related field.
• Cybersecurity certification is a plus.  (e.g. CEH, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, GSEC ).
