POSITION SUMMARY
This is primarily a collaborative role, focused on development, integration, delivery, maintenance, and management of technology solutions through collaboration with the Southland IT Organization, Business Relationship Managers and Business leaders. The Sr. Solutions Analyst possesses strong skills in the Integration platform, understanding of the supported application(s), solid understanding of the IT environment (i.e., tech platforms, methodology, and capabilities) and a good understanding of supported business units and their processes.
What you’ll do:
- The role focuses on support and maintaining application integrations across systems, serving as an escalation point for core technology issues. Collaborate with the business to refine processes and enhance applications. Possess strong skills in Integration platform, Azure, SQL server, systems analysis, testing, debugging, documentation, storage, and interfacing. Gather requirements from clients, partners, and vendors to create specifications and prioritize features. Automate processes using scripting to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Manage through change and provide production support. Strong IT programs development or design experience or equivalent.
- Leads the development of technology strategies that outline the upgrade and replacement strategies for the technology areas.
- Ensures the stable operation of applications and platforms.
- Leads the isolation and resolution of root causes when issues occur.
- Main point of contact for technical questions related to supported applications for end users.
- In collaboration with Business Relationship Managers, contributes to the delivery/implementation of solutions that support the business process while ensuring cross functional support and robust design.
- Contributes to the architectural design of applications, data structures and technology platforms.
- Supports systems analysis and application development activities through direct and indirect resources (vendor resources).
- Collaborates with the Business Relationship Management functions, I.S. functions and Sr Management to develop and enhance the technology solutions that are technically robust while meeting business imperatives (budget, efficiency, timeliness).
- Supports development teams in the areas of scheduling, technical direction, future planning and standard development practices.
- Remains informed of technology trends and business operation trends to provide guidance, consultative input and solutions to the business.
- Communicates with Sr. Management on a regular basis to convey project status, development opportunities and future trends. Regularly seeks opportunities to improve understanding of business and technology environments.
- Assists in the attainment of financial performance metrics through active management of licensing costs/growth and budget forecasting for initiatives.
- Participates in the process of negotiating, monitoring and managing vendor agreements and commitments.
- Investigate new licensing models or alternative solutions to increase value.
- Harmonize software footprint to reduce or eliminate similar applications.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Strong knowledge of Integration platforms like Workato, Logic Apps, Boomi, Informatica
- Strong knowledge of common API types and tools for building API-based integrations
- Strong knowledge of DevOps practices and common tools used (git, npm, Visual Studio). Azure DevOps knowledge a plus.
- Strong knowledge of MS Windows, Windows shell scripting, application installation and deployment methods, application purchasing and license management and systems maintenance
- Strong knowledge of application development practices and software engineering expertise
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft’s Azure services, focused on foundational security and identity services
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, Python or any programming language and one or more scripting languages (bash or PowerShell preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and/or Progress RDBMS, T-SQL
- Ability to automate application installation
- Ability to configure and maintain SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams resources and settings at an advanced level
- Ability to configure and maintain DevOps pipelines for a variety of deployment types
- Ability to assist setup & Maintenance of systems
- Familiarity with Modern front and frameworks like React, Angular, and Svelte
- Familiarity with Microsoft’s Office 365 services, focused on SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams and their APIs.
- Familiarity with Power BI
- Familiarity of Accounting
- Applies extensive technical expertise and has knowledge of related disciplines.
- Works on complex problems and provides solutions which require the regular use of creativity.
- Work is performed with minimal direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives.
- Guides successful completion of projects and provides a leadership role.
- Serves as primary point of contact on projects.
- Demonstrated managerial skills including verbal and written communication, project planning, and project management.
- Moderate ability to translate concepts to action by timely implementation.
What you bring to the table:
- Four-year degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience.
- 5-10 years of relevant field of work or equivalent experience.
