POSITION SUMMARY

A Superintendent (E9) is the primary jobsite supervisor with operational responsibility for
employees involved in the installation, alteration, addition, and/or repair of electrical systems,
conductors, and associated materials and equipment on small- to mid-sized ground up
projects or tenant-finish projects where complex coordination of multiple subordinate
supervisors and crews is required.

 

What you’ll do:

 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
1. Oversee and manage all electrical production and related craft workers on electrical
construction projects.
2. Partner with project managers on working estimates and take-offs.
3. Lay out work for subordinate supervisors and lead persons. Coordinate with project
manager so that material, tools, equipment, information and appropriate manpower are
in the proper place in a timely fashion.
4. Establish work schedules and man-loading charts.
5. Interface with representatives of the General Contractor/Owner on day-to-day project
scheduling and overall performance issues.
6. Provide general supervision to subordinate foremen engaged in the installation of
electrical feeders; equipment such as pumps, motors, and generators; control and
distribution apparatus such as switch gears, relays, and circuit breaker panels; lighting
fixtures and outlets; and related connections and terminations.
7. Monitor work as performed. Direct subordinate supervisors and crews and schedule work
according to the pace of the job and other trades.
8. Handle or oversee the disposition of required office correspondence and administrative
paperwork such as daily reports, time sheets/tickets, safety reports, etc.
9. Assume responsibility for overall project safety performance. Ensure compliance with all
Brandt safety processes and protocols. Ensure employees are properly trained or
instructed in the performance of duties to which assigned. Investigate or assist in
investigating and reporting any accident or safety incident involving jobsite employees.
10. Perform additional assignments as requested/needed.

 

 

What you’ll need to be successful:

 

Must have advanced knowledge of and experience in all the duties and responsibilities
associated with lower-level electrical workers.
Licenses: Journeyman or Master Electrical License and a current Driver’s License.
Must have own reliable transportation
Education: High school graduate, GED or equivalent
Experience: 6 years or more of commercial/industrial electrical experience
