POSITION SUMMARY

Perform routine preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, replacement, and technical support for Commercial Controls Building Automation Systems. Understand control system architecture, design, sequence of operations, and controls schematic drawings. Operate on the job with the highest of ethics and demonstration of Brandt core values. Properly complete all required project and service documentation accurately and on time.

 

 

 

What you’ll do:

·        Perform routine preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, replacement,
and technical support.

·        Ability to provide on-site services in geographical region, and ability to provide remote services
 for same.

·        Keeps customer informed on the nature of service provided outstanding issues and recommends
system enhancements, upgrades, and or repairs.

·        Provides consultant level services for customers related to building system repairs and
  enhancements.

·        Providing technical support and assist with technical development for others.

·        Assists with the identification of material needs required for service delivery.

·        Adheres to all Brandt and customer safety standards.

·        Provides safety awareness and instruction to subcontractors on Brandt work sites.

·        Provide high quality customer service and in line with operational processes.

·        Communicates with customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site

·        Manages assigned work to meet a professional level of execution, on-time and to the customer satisfaction.

·        Properly completes all required project and service documentation.

·        Provides solutions to others on very complex system problems by either troubleshooting or advising how to resolve problems.

·        Escalates points on technical issues and provides on-the-job training for other technicians.

·        Assists in developing quotes and estimates for identified work opportunities and submits to the Customer, Service Operations Manager, or Customer Service Agent as appropriate

·        Assists the Service Operations Manager and Customer Service Agent with identifying and scheduling future work with the correct skills, knowledge, tools, and material to perform repairs or installation.

·        Conducts self-study (reading, research, and practice) to improve and maintain technical proficiency.

·        Completes all training and certifications as required by the company.

 

 

What you’ll need to be successful:

·        Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Energy Engineering or other related field (or an equivalent
amount of technical training and practical experience).

·        Thorough understanding of testing, validation and troubleshooting of large and complex controls  systems.

·        Thorough understanding of mechanical systems, equipment, and common controls sequences along with fundamental control theory and logic.

·        Programming, hardware, and troubleshooting expertise with one or more Building Automation   System platforms (Tridium, Siemens, Trane, Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric, etc.).

·        Ability to successfully communicate with customers, vendors, and project team managers.

·        Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

·        Experience with setting up and maintaining remote BAS connections.

·        Familiarity with networking applications, Ethernet, TCP-IP, IP Networks, and infrastructure.

·        Strong technical writing skills.

·        Knowledge of energy efficiency and renewable energy fields.

·        Ability and desire to learn utility rate structures and billing.
