POSITION SUMMARY

 

 

Lead, coach and develop a sales team to successfully market Brandt’s capabilities as a premier MEP service provider in a given territory.  Implement and execute performance standards reflective of Brandt’s culture, mission and goals, fostering an environment that promotes productivity, profitability, and growth.

 

 

What you’ll do:

 

 

1.     Lead, develop and motivate sales team.  Establish performance standards and ensure the availability of career development and training opportunities to help consistently achieve optimal results and skills improvement.

2.     Create and maintain strong customer relationships by ensuring focused attention through the sales team, monitoring sales activity and personally interacting with each salesperson’s key/target customers.

3.     Assist sales personnel with developing and delivering effective sales presentations and comprehensive service proposals.

4.     Provide strategic direction and tactical insights as needed.

5.     Review and provide approval on all service sales quotes and estimates.  Seek assistance from Operations Manager, as needed.

6.     Create new and innovative sales strategies by identifying opportunities for both new and existing customers, developing business plans, and spearheading the design and implementation of strategic marketing approaches.

7.     Review All Customer Specific Purchasing Contracts, Pricing Agreements, along with Terms and Conditions. Provide approval in collaboration with Operations Manager, as needed. Communicate unusual details and conditions to operations team when applicable. Includes coordinating with location leaders on Statewide Customers.

8.     Provide assistance in key sales situations to ‘close the deal’.

9.     Monitor performance and profit standards on service maintenance contracts, quoted service work, and T&M projects.

10.  Manage all aspects of Sales Funnel Activities and Analysis (Tracking Data and Dashboards) to create, update and manage effective utilization of sales team efforts regarding sales cycles and task prioritization.

11.  Support Existing Building FOCUS with cross-selling management of Service Opportunities and Project Opportunities in collaboration with VP of IPG and Service Operations Manager.

12.  Assist the Operations Manager with enhancing the service technicians’ ability to sell while at customer sites.

13.  Plan, organize and staff key Service sales positions to accommodate department activity.

14.  Partner with the Operations Manager and Business Supervisor to develop and implement systems and procedures that foster positive customer relations and ensure prompt and thorough resolution of customer inquiries, requests and complaints.

15.  Investigate potentially serious customer complaints to help remedy the situation and/or promptly implement corrective measures as required.

16.  Work with Operations Manager and Business Supervisor to explore new systems and methodologies that can improve customer service and employee performance.

17.  Partner with Operations Manager and Business Supervisor to develop department budget, monitor expenses and ensure the group operates efficiently and effectively.

18.  Review with sales account managers and approve with operations manager, quarterly sales commission payments.

19.  Perform additional assignments as requested/needed.

 

 

What you’ll need to be successful:

 

 

        Preference towards sales and leadership experience with an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) in a relevant industry.

        Excellent verbal and written communications skills with ability to develop professional proposals and sales presentations

        Superior negotiation and follow-through skills

        Outstanding leadership and mentoring skills

        Industry knowledge that provides for solutions selling across all lines of service, including support of large opportunities and complex customers

        Ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance

        Strong MS Office skills, Sales Software & App experience highly desirable

 

 

What you bring to the table:

 

 

        Four-year degree in related discipline, with marketing emphasis (requirement may be offset by relevant experience)

        Extensive experience (10+ years) with and knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing and Boiler Service estimating and marketing with at least 5 successful years in a key marketing or operational position
