Shenandoah University’s Department of Arts and Sciences is accepting applications an Assistant Professor of Physics. This is a full-time benefited position located on our main campus in Winchester, Virginia.

The Division of Advanced Technology in the College of Arts and Sciences at Shenandoah University is seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our faculty as an assistant professor of physics. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate lectures and labs; supervising student research projects; and providing academic advising for students. The successful candidate will play an active role in shaping and growing a new undergraduate program in engineering and engineering physics.

Required Skills

  • A PhD in physics, applied physics, or engineering physics by the date of appointment; demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching; and evidence of scholarly and professional activities.
  • Expertise as an experimentalist is preferred.
