Shenandoah University is a private institution of approximately 4000 students located in the historic and scenic Shenandoah Valley. The Division of Applied Technology is home to new undergraduate engineering and artificial intelligence programs, established majors in computer science, cyber security, data science, information technology, mathematics, and virtual reality, and a graduate cybersecurity program. The university’s Hub for Innovators, Veterans, and Entrepreneurs (HIVE) opening in 2024, will host dedicated laboratory and collaboration spaces supporting many of our technology and business programs.

Shenandoah University’s Office of Arts and Sciences is accepting applications for an Assistant Professor of Computer Science. This is a full-time benefited position located on our main campus in Winchester, Virginia.

We seek a knowledgeable, energetic, and creative faculty member to become part of our university community and to contribute to the success and growth of our technology programs. Teaching responsibilities include four courses per semester with the potential for research release time. Teaching undergraduate courses in support of our computer science, cyber security, and information technology programs. University and division service. Research and professional development.

  • Ph.D. in computer science, cyber security, or a related field.
