Transportation Aide

Transportation Aide

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:   

·         Provides safe and timely transportation to and from appointments for the residents. 

·         Makes schedules of appointments and posts them on each wing. 

·         Manage other trips for the facility as deemed necessary by the supervisor, administrator, or designee. 

·         Safely loading/unload passengers 

·         Secure all four floor straps to the chair 

·         Safely transport residents 

·         Assist in cleaning the van after transports 

·         Work closely with transportation director, activity director, and others to maintain appointment schedules and outside activities 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:   

·         On-the-job training provided 

·         Valid Driver’s License required 

REQUIRED EDUCATION:   

·         Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent
