Behavior Specialist

Behavior Specialist

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:   

·         Provides behavior therapy and monitoring for all residents. 

·         Observe and assess patients’ behavior. 

·         Implement treatment plans to address behavioral issues. 

·         Collaborate with psychologist to follow behavioral treatment plans. 

·         Support patients throughout the treatment process. 

·         Communicate with patients, caregivers, and families to implement treatment plans. 

·         Monitor and record treatment progress. 

·         Conduct assessments to determine patients’ improvements. 

·         Maintain patient records and treatment reports. 

·         Collaborate with other healthcare specialists and support organizations. 

·         Possess strong working knowledge of behavioral theory and applied behavior analysis. 

·         Conduct group treatment as outlined in patient plan of care. 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:  

• Must have, as a minimum, one (1) year professional experience in the field as a behavior specialist. 5+ years preferred. 

REQUIRED EDUCATION:   

• Graduate with at least a bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree preferred
