In this part-time (0.8 FTE / Mon-Thurs 8:30am – 4:30pm, 7.6 Hrs daily) max term (till December 31st, 2027) role, you’ll work as a part of our Education, Engagement and Attainment Initiatives team in Doomadgee to help us create lasting change for children and families everywhere.

  

You will make a difference by:

  • Building rapport with community members and empower them to have a voice
  • Coordinate activities to bring together family’s educational environment.
  • Communicate any emerging issues in community that may impact safety welling and participation.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records on supports available
  • Work effectively in a team and participate in training to build skills.

Your deep expertise in engagement and collaboration with families in community, education and other relevant stakeholders.  will be invaluable. You’re connection to community and local culture will prove beneficial in supporting engagement from families with children from birth through to adolescence.

This role requires:  

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of local culture
  • Experience working with families from CALD and or Aboriginal and Torres Strait back grounds
  • Knowledge of local community and services
  • Understanding of or experience working with young people and families facing disadvantage
