Where you come in:

 

The Supply Chain Officer plays a key role in ensuring smooth and compliant operations across procurement, assets, fleet, inventory, and warehouse management. They support emergency preparedness and humanitarian logistics, strengthen systems for audit readiness, and build strong supplier relationships. The role also upholds health, safety, and child safeguarding standards while contributing to continuous improvement and organizational efficiency.

 

The Supply Chain Officer will report directly to the Procurement & Supply Chain Manager.

 

 You will make an impact by:

 

Procurement & Operations

 

  • Lead procurement planning and oversee assets, fleet, stock, and warehouse functions

 

Systems & Compliance

 

  • Maintain asset registers, fleet reports, and strengthen inventory systems for audit readiness

 

Emergency & Humanitarian Support

 

  • Set up contingency stock and support logistics during emergency responses

 

Partnerships & Improvement

 

  • Build supplier relationships and drive continuous improvements in supply chain processes

 

Health, Safety & Risk

 

  • Promote safe work practices, report hazards, and apply mitigation

 

  • Participate in health and safety awareness and follow procedures

 

Child Safeguarding

 

  • Ensure a child-safe environment and follow protection protocols

 

  • Act with integrity in all child-related interactions

 

  • Report and respond to safeguarding concerns as per policy

 

This role requires:

 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in supply chain and procurement operations

 

  • Proven expertise in inventory and warehouse management

 

  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills

 

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field

 

  • Fluency in English; Bislama highly desirable

 

  • Commitment to Save the Children’s mission, values, and safeguarding standards
