Calling Pacific Health & Nutrition leaders! Come join our Pacific team and use your expertise to drive our regional strategy to eliminate childhood malnutrition in the Pacific. We need your unrivalled public health knowledge and experience in designing maternal child health and nutrition programs to deliver positive outcomes for children.

 

Reporting to the Regional Director of Pacific Program Development and Quality, you will be part of the Pacific regional team, and provide leadership in expanding our health and nutrition portfolio in the Pacific.  You will be based in the Pacific region providing strategic and technical advice on new health and nutrition opportunities as well as technical support to current programmes.

 

You will make a difference by:

·       Lead our Pacific Regional Strategy to eliminate childhood malnutrition.

·       Grow and strengthening the health & nutrition portfolio across the region.

·       Provide technical guidance on the implementation of high-quality health and nutrition programs.

·       Represent Save the Children with governments, donors, partners, I/NGOs and CSOs., including coordinating with national nutrition initiatives and partners.

·       Advise on advocacy initiatives designed to promote health and nutrition objectives across the region.

We recognise your contribution and provide you the support to ensure you can bring your best, knowing here you have the space and opportunity to grow. Bringing your best every day, means:

·       7+ years of professional experience in health & nutrition program design and implementation including maternal child health and nutrition in the Pacific

·       Advanced understanding of the Pacific health sector especially working with national and provincial health authorities as well as local communities

·       Experience managing large, complex health and nutrition programs in the Pacific with multiple stakeholders and implementing partners

·       Experience in coordinating maternal child health and nutrition programs with national and provincial health authorities, NGOs, UN Agencies, institutions and development partners involved in maternal child health and nutrition programs.

 

Please note: in order to apply for this role, you must already be based (and with full work rights) in either Australia, New Zealand or one of our Pacific member countries (Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea or Vanuatu). Other Pacific countries will be considered as well.
