Great opportunity exists for a Central Registration Clerk to join our team at our outpatient clinic in Quincy!   

Under the direction of the Director of Clinic Administrative Services and in collaboration with the Lead Central Registration Clerk, is responsible for:  

  • insurance verification
  • coordinating insurance authorizations 
  • assisting clients with insurance eligibility 
  • communicating insurance matters effectively to clients and staff
  • answering phones 
  • greeting clients and visitors 
  • checking in clients 
  • centralized scheduling of appointments for all medication providers, clinicians and psychologists
  • managing medication provider schedule
  • data entry
  • collecting insurance co-payments 
  • collection of past due account balances 
  • updating client information 
  • providing administrative support to the program

Required Skills

  • High school level education/diploma required
  • Computer proficiency
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Required Experience

  • 1-2 years office experience with demonstrated effective communication skills and proven organizational and interpersonal skills preferred.
  • Medical office experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of insurance requirements  
  • Computer literacy and adaptability
  • Telephone experience required  
  • Understanding of filing system
