Aspire Health Alliance is seeking a dedicated and compassionate E-Hospital Based ESP Clinician to join our team at South Shore Hospital Integrated Services. This full-time, regular/at-will position is integral to our mission of providing exceptional behavioral health services to our community. Under the supervision of the Behavioral Health Emergency Service Supervising Clinician, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with medical staff to triage and assess clients in need of behavioral health interventions. The clinician will be responsible for determining the appropriate level of care, delivering clinical interventions, and providing case management support. Key functions include gathering and documenting collateral information, consulting with medical staff on patient symptoms and coping strategies, and providing services to patients in crisis. The role also involves developing and implementing clinical pathways for behavioral health patients, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach to treatment, and following up on referral needs for discharged patients. The clinician must demonstrate the ability to engage with clients and families in distress, balance the needs of children and adolescents, and be aware of the impact of developmental issues on crisis presentation. Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or other mental health discipline
- Training in assessing adults in crisis as well as competency in assessing children and their families in crisis
- Strong clinical intervention and case management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with medical staff and a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Crisis intervention and risk assessment skills
- Ability to engage with clients and families in distress
Required Experience
- Minimum of one year experience in a Crisis Intervention setting or related field placement in Crisis Intervention setting
- Experience in a hospital or integrated care setting is highly desirable
- Experience working with a diverse client population
- Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation protocols
- Experience in providing follow-up and referral services to ensure continuity of care
