Aspire Health Alliance has entry level opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the mental health field. Our Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) program works with over 400 clients in the community, providing support and encouragement so that they can live their best lives. Referrals are received directly from the Department of Mental Health, and clients reside either in the community or in one of our residential settings.
About the Role: The Residential Rehab Counselor supports adults with mental health challenges who reside together in a community setting. Be a part of a dedicated team who play a crucial role in empowering residents to achieve independence by enhancing their daily living skills, managing psychiatric symptoms, ensuring physical health, and overall improving their quality of life.
Responsibilities:

Teach Daily Living Skills: Assist clients with skills such as cooking, budgeting, and social interactions.

Implement Treatment Plans: Follow and execute treatment plans to help clients achieve their goals and manage symptoms.

Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications as needed.

Transportation: Drive clients to doctor's appointments and social activities.

Required Skills
- Patience and an understanding and ability to interact with individuals with disabilities
- Dependability, flexibility, and desire to help others
- Computer proficiency and ability to learn to use an electronic health record system
- Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record---access to a personal vehicle, required
Required Experience
- Previous experience working in the human services field, or completed coursework in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- CPR/FA and MAP certification will be required
- BA/BS in Psychology or related field preferred
