The Compliance Auditing Specialist at Aspire Health Alliance is a pivotal role that ensures the organization's adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies. This specialist is responsible for conducting thorough compliance audits, analyzing findings, and working collaboratively with various teams to implement corrective actions. The role is instrumental in the continuous improvement of compliance frameworks, promoting a culture of accountability and ethical practices within Aspire Health Alliance.

The Compliance Auditing Specialist will conduct regular and ad hoc audits across different departments and processes to evaluate compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies. They will develop, update, and execute audit plans, checklists, and schedules, prioritizing based on risk assessments and organizational needs. Monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements such as HIPAA and federal/state healthcare regulations is a key part of the role. The specialist will document audit findings, including non-compliance issues and risk areas, and recommend corrective actions. They will prepare detailed audit reports and present these findings to the Compliance Committee, management, and other stakeholders. Analyzing trends in audit findings to identify systemic issues and improvement opportunities is also a critical function. The specialist will work closely with departmental leaders to address gaps and ensure the implementation of corrective action plans.

Celebrating 100 years of service in 2026, Aspire Health Alliance (Aspire) is a private, non-profit behavioral health agency, providing services for children, teens, and adults experiencing serious emotional challenges, behavioral issues, and substance abuse. Our vision is there is no health without mental health. In July 2022, Aspire was designated as a Community Behavioral Health Center by the State of Massachusetts. Aspire has outpatient clinics across the South Shore in Braintree, Quincy, and Marshfield. We have services across the continuum of care including early intervention services for infants, toddlers, and their families; day treatment, intensive wrap-around services, and residential services. Bringing care to the setting where our clients most need it, we provide child and family services in the home, school, child care center, group residence, and other community settings including working with area police departments. Required Skills

  • In-depth understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Strong ability to assess complex information, identify trends, and analyze compliance risks effectively.
  • Meticulous in reviewing policies, audit findings, and compliance documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex compliance information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Strong aptitude for identifying issues and developing practical solutions to compliance-related challenges.
  • Ability to develop and deliver engaging training programs on compliance topics, ensuring staff understands their obligations.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple compliance projects, audits, and training initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of compliance and ethics.
  • Ability to stay informed about changes in regulations and best practices through effective research methods.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare compliance role.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance program development, and risk assessment.
  •  Proven ability to conduct audits and investigations, and work with external regulatory bodies.
  •  Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills with a track record of promoting a culture of compliance.
