Outstanding opportunity exists for an Emergency Services Behavioral Health Clinician-Hospital Based to become part of our integrated care team! Based in the Emergency Department at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, this clinician will work with the hospital staff to evaluate patients who may need behavioral health services. 

The schedule for this position is Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday 1pm-1am.

Responsibilities:

  • Works with a multi-disciplinary team in the Emergency Department and medical floors in an acute hospital setting, providing psychiatric assessment and stabilization services to assist in the development of an appropriate clinical treatment plan
  • Provides psychiatric emergency services to children, adults, and families
  • Works with a multi-disciplinary team to provide referrals and community supports that best meet the clinical treatment plan
  • Provides clinical consultation to therapists, agencies, or families as needed

Celebrating 100 years of service in 2026, Aspire Health Alliance (Aspire) is a private, non-profit behavioral health agency, providing services for children, teens, and adults experiencing serious emotional challenges, behavioral issues, and substance abuse. Our vision is there is no health without mental health. In July 2022, Aspire was designated as a Community Behavioral Health Center by the State of Massachusetts. Aspire has outpatient clinics across the South Shore in Braintree, Quincy, and Marshfield.

We have services across the continuum of care including early intervention services for infants, toddlers, and their families; day treatment, intensive wrap-around services, and residential services. Bringing care to the setting where our clients most need it, we provide child and family services in the home, school, child care center, group residence, and other community settings including working with area police departments. Required Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to assess children and adults in a psychiatric crisis
  • Skills needed to work independently and exhibit sound clinical judgment
  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team in a collaborative and professional manner
  • Computer proficiency and ability to complete clinical documentation on an EHR

Required Experience

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field and Independent Clinical Licensure
  • Minimum of two years’ of experience in an emergency services setting
  • Knowledge/experience with integrated care or hospital systems strongly preferred
