Position Overview
The primary function of the Labor Relations Department is to oversee the contractual interactions between the Contractor and the employees represented by collective bargaining agreements, (CBAs), in accordance with the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA). Under limited supervision this position is responsible for various elements to support the Labor Relations department. Typical job responsibilities include assisting and supporting management in ensuring that the labor relations function operates in a manner that meets the operational and developmental needs of management and personnel, and ensures site compliance with all CBAs, contractual, statutory, regulatory requirements, HR and Site Safety policies.
Functional
 Maintains legally required labor relations postings
 Assists in the development and implementation of labor relations policies and procedures
 Performs tasks associated with unionized workforce represented by a collective bargaining agreement, such as contract administration, negotiations, overtime management, seniority, grievance and arbitration processes
Competencies:
 Conducts research and recommendations for various labor relations activities
 Interfaces with groups inside and outside the organization (management, unions leaders/members, vendors)
 Act as a resource to lesser experienced team members
 Assists with maintaining positive employee relations
 May be assigned special projects
 Performs duties moderately complex in nature
 Other job-related duties as assigned
 Maintains knowledge of and demonstrates ability to perform work safely in accordance with all approved safety policies, procedures and applicable regulations and performs assigned duties in a safe manner
 Actively participates in Safety Work Groups

Required Contingencies:

·         Pre-Employment Physical (office or field work)

·         Drug Screen

·         The ability to obtain/maintain "L" or "Q" Clearance one year from hire date

·         Background Check

·         Any site required training

Minimum Requirements
BA/BS degree in a related field and 6 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Typical experience ranges from 6 - 9 years.
