Position Overview
Performs duties as the execution project line supervisor within the assigned Environmental, Safety, Health & Quality (ESH&Q) matrixed field support section reporting to the ESH&Q Field Section Manager. Directly responsible for maintaining day-to-day field management and oversight of assigned Industrial Hygiene, Quality, Radiation Protection and Occupational Safety technicians (collectively titled ESH&Q Field Support).
Duties include but are not limited to direct oversight of the assigned ESH&Q support technicians is responsible for daily interaction with execution ESH&Q Field Section Manager and provides support to Project line management, their staff, and project workers supporting all assigned functions and elements of the ESH&Q programs. ESH&Q Field Section Supervisor is responsible to communicate project related information to the assigned ESH&Q technicians, project line management and ESH&Q management team, advise and supports project management team in planning, staffing and execution of work involving ESH&Q program implementation in the field. Communicate issues to ESH&Q Field Section Manager as applicable based upon assignments. Are directly responsible for ensuring all ESH&Q personal have access and communication with supervision, staff and management. Ensures technicians perform duties properly and in accordance with procedures. Is responsible for correctly evaluating and interpreting empirical field data, laboratory sample data and directing appropriate preventative measures to limit chemical, biological, radiological and physical exposures to site personnel. Responsible for the accurate collection of data and analysis, ensuring that site operations are conducted in accordance with contractual, statutory and regulatory requirements and all applicable procedures. Addition duties as assigned:
Participates in project planning, schedule development, staffing plans and integrates ESH&Q program elements to ensure utilization of employees and compliance with all contractual requirements, quality standards and budgetary guidelines.
Ensures staffing levels of supervised personnel are maintained in a manner which allows the effective execution of the assigned scope of work at all times
Ensures project instrumentation inventory is adequate, calibrated and functional in support of the Project mission.
Participates in various site teams, committees designated to implement ISMS and integrated work methods designed to enhance performance.
Maintains close working relationship with execution project management teams, ESH&Q Field Department Manager, Section Manager and Program management ensuring that ESH&Q services are being properly executed and needs of the Project are met.
Interfaces with groups inside and outside the assigned execution project, ESH&Q organization programs, auditors and client representatives.
Responsible for personnel performance actions and performance appraisals.
Responsible for maintain, authenticating and protecting Quality Records demonstrating regulatory and procedural compliance.
Directs daily activities of assigned support technicians associated with the development, implementation and execution of policies, procedures and systems supporting the ESH&Q Programelements.
Ensures matrixed ESH&Q personnel maintain training and qualification requirements.
Must be capable of understanding and performing methods and processes related to applicable ESH&Q program elements.
Generates reports to support project and program elements.
Performs a variety of tasks complex to significantly difficult in nature.
Maintains knowledge of and demonstrates ability to perform work safely in accordance with all approved safety policies, procedures and applicable regulations and performs assigned duties in a safe manner. Hast responsibility for the safety of those being supervised and ensures they comply with established safety policies and procedures and practice safe work habits.
Actively participates in Safety Work Groups
Working Condtions
Work in an environmental restoration atmosphere (outdated and/or abandoned facilities). Potential exposure to equipment movement hazards, dangerous chemicals/solvents or hazardous and radioactive materials if proper safety procedures are not followed. Ability to wear respirator and other protective equipment to enter various types of potentially hazardous areas (such as but not limited to chemical, dust fumes, mists, heat stress factors, etc.). Environmental conditions may include weather or temperature extremes, inclement weather (such as but not limited to wind, rain, excessive heat, excessive cold, snow/ice, etc.) May be required to operate company vehicle during the course of work. All safety and DOT regulations and procedures must be adhered to at all times.

Required Experience
Minimum Requirements
BS degree in Industrial Hygiene, Radiation Protection, Quality, Occupational Safety & Health or a closely related field and 10 years of related experience including one (5) years technician lead/supervisory/managerial experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Typical experience ranges from 10 – 15 years.
