Maintenance Mechanic 1st/2nd Class

THIS POSITION WILL BE REPRESENTED AS PART OF A COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT UNIT. 

GENERAL SUMMARY 
Works as a member of a crew on large-scale jobs under the direction of a supervisor. On specific operation, may work independently from detailed work orders. Must work to required specifications and tolerances in assembling or replacing parts in machinery or equipment. Must be in good physical condition as considerable manual effort involved. Uses tools and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. and much of work must be performed in awkward or unnatural position. 

Required Contingencies:

·         Pre-Employment Physical (office or field work)

·         Drug Screen

·         The ability to obtain/maintain "L" or "Q" Clearance one year from hire date

·         Background Check

·         Any site required training

Required Experience

Minimum of four (4) years' experience in a combination of three (3) or more of the following trades: Pipefitter, /Millwright, Machinist, Welder, Mechanic, Sheetmetal, or minimum of four (4) yea.rs' experience as a Machinist or Sheetmetal Mechanic. Must have valid State driver's license and be able to operate standard and automatic transmission vehicles. May require a Commercial drivers' license with all necessary endorsement
