POSITION SUMMARY:

Servtech, A Roeslein Company, is seeking an Industrial Painter II to join our team in our manufacturing facilities for the energy, mining, industrial power markets, and Integrated bio-energy solutions.  This individual must have the desire to perform quality work safely, be detail-oriented, and have superior customer focus. This individual must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must be someone who represents the organization with the ability to lead by example, adhere to company standards, and resolve issues with urgency and professionalism

  • Must meet deadlines while working safely to ensure a quality product.
  • Paint steel, pipe, valves, and other components used for our industrial manufactured products.
  • Prepare paint and ensure proper mixing per paint manufacturer requirements.
  • Must possess the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel, both hourly and management, in a team environment.
  • Must comply with Servtech’s core values for the safe and efficient operation of the business and maintain sound relationships among and with employees.
  • Responsible for painting mil thickness according to manufacturer recommendations
  • Responsible for maintaining and cleaning paint guns and equipment.
  • Must follow the Company attendance policy.
  • Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and work in accordance with Servtech’s established safety and company requirements.

 

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effectively prep materials prior to painting.
  • Load and unload paint booth with materials.
  • Stage materials for curing.
  • Perform set-up, material handling duties, and minor general maintenance.
  • Responsible for area housekeeping
  • Participate in the process of continuous improvement including efforts to meet company deadlines and goals
  • Promote a positive working environment to achieve the organization’s goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • $25.50 – 28.98 per hour

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with an uncontrolled atmosphere.  Exposure to harsh conditions—such as dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures—for short periods is possible.  All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.   

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk and hear. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. regularly is required. Must be able to stand/walk 90% of the time and sit 10% of the time. Requires the ability to work from heights while utilizing the appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for each situation.  

 

SKILL / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • A High School Diploma or G.E.D. is strongly preferred.
  • 2-3 years of industrial painting experience is strongly preferred
  • Must be able to use and read a wet and dry mil gauge.
  • Strong problem-solving skills are required.
  • Elevated level of energy and motivation
  • Ability to work flexible hours including, but not limited to, some overtime
