POSITION SUMMARY
Method Flow Products, A Roeslein Company, is seeking an Automation Technician II. Method Flow is looking for an individual who has the desire to perform quality work in a safe manner, who is detail-oriented, and who has superior customer focus. This individual must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must meet deadlines while working safely to ensure a quality product.
- Must have the ability to install automation devices on oil field equipment which include pressure transmitters, level gauges, pneumatic valve controllers (Solenoids), gas/oil/water meters, ESD buttons, relays, batteries and charging systems, junction boxes, RTU’s and PLC cabinets.
- Skilled at the installation of steel piping stacks, gauges, and conduit fittings with the ability to cut and mount Unistrut. Pull wire, zip-tie piping, place and fasten in cable tray, dig trenches, and run wire as needed. Terminate wire into devices and junction boxes.
- Follow directions and ask questions, as necessary. Keep in constant communication with the Automation Lead and advise of any issues that need to be addressed.
- Must be able to build structural support systems and fabricate boxes and backplanes.
- Safely drive to customer locations and safely perform the required work.
- Responsible for the accuracy of service tickets and timely submission.
- Ability to understand basic process flow conditions (Example: product flow from high pressure to flow pressure, path of least resistance, etc.)

- Must be able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Must follow training and company procedures.

- Ability to effectively interact with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other business contacts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. is preferred but not required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record and be 21 years of age to drive a company truck.
- Must have two to four years of experience in the automation field.
- Proficient. in Micro Soft Word and Excel
- Experience with different hand/power tools (EX: screwdrivers, wire strippers, wrenches, drills, impact drivers, shovels, pick ax, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are required.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy is required with a solid work ethic.
- Excellent organization and planning skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including overtime.
- Must adhere to the Company’s attendance policy.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in an uncontrolled atmosphere. Exposure to harsh conditions—such as dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures—for short periods is possible. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk and hear. The ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. regularly is required. Exposure to moving parts and electricity that require safety protocols.
