The design and implementation stages emphasize maximizing modularization and preassembly through Roeslein’s global fabrication facilities and minimizing field constraints such as safety, manpower availability, risk mitigation, and weather. Modules are built to scope, preassembled, assessed, and must pass a factory acceptance test prior to shipping. Once ready to be delivered, units can be shipped via truck, rail, or sea, utilizing Roeslein’s modular approach.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Traditional Energy Division for Roeslien Company is looking for a Controller to prepare financial statements that follow all regulatory and accounting guidelines under the supervision of a regional controller. This position will be responsible for identifying and preventing discrepancies and helping set up control systems. This position will produce financial statements and all financial aspects of the business (Division), provide reliable financial information, report necessary information for operational decisions, and manage accounting and administrative employees. This position requires an organized and detail-oriented professional who meets deadlines with 100% accuracy. You must also be reliable and able to conduct tasks autonomously and collaboratively. The goal is to contribute to keeping the company's accounting and financial processes up to standard and ensuring accurate financial reporting and control. This position will report to a division controller.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must represent the organization with the ability to lead by example, adhere to company standards, and resolve issues with urgency and professionalism.
- Must comply with Roeslein & Associates’ core values for the safe and efficient operation of the business and maintain sound relationships with employees.
- This position will help interview, select, and train new employees to ensure they have the knowledge and skills to perform their duties to the organization's standard. This position will also develop the team and provide feedback for annual performance evaluations.
- Responsible for the escalation of employee issues and company violations to ensure the employee understands the policies and procedures of the organization. This position will create and deliver all employee disciplines with the support of Human Resources.
- Performs all work in compliance with company standards, does not deviate from policies and procedures, and adheres to regulatory requirements.
- This position will be the team's point of contact and will respond promptly to troubleshooting issues and avoid prolonged delays. Must be able to troubleshoot problems with complete resolution.
- Must set and adjust employees’ rates of pay and hours of work in collaboration with the Regional Controller.
- Must have the ability to plan and direct the work of employees.
- Must attend all manager meetings, training, and safety meetings as required.
- Review monthly Financial Statements, understand variances, and provide explanations to upper management.
- Review all month-end schedules and documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Partner with Operations to provide financial data/reports to assist in running the business.
- Develop metrics/KPIs to measure the Division's performance.
- Provide Cash forecasts.
- Provide Management reporting for the Division.
- Prepare ad hoc requests for management.
- Lead Financial Planning and Analysis activities.
- Drive the Job Cost Projection process with the project managers.
- Manage Job Cost Reports for financial reporting.
- Job Cost analysis and variance reporting.
- Prepare and oversee the annual budget.
- Prepare and oversee the Capital budget.
- Review bank reconciliations, fixed assets, and depreciation.
- Approve wire transfers, ACH payments, and, if needed, weekly check runs.
- Participate in a wide variety of special projects.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand job cost accounting and financial reporting.
- Document procédures, problems/solutions, descriptions, status updates, etc.
- Train co-workers on improved procedures.

- Develop and maintain relationships with employees at all locations.

- Perform other duties as assigned.
- This position may require occasional travel to St. Louis, MO.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- BS degree in Accounting or Business degree required.
- Master’s in accounting, business, or CPA preferred.
- 3-5 years of public accounting management experience is preferred.
- Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Must maintain a professional appearance.

- Prior experience with Viewpoint Construction Software (Vista) or QuickBooks Online is a plus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in an office atmosphere. Short-term exposure to harsh conditions, such as dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures, is possible. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear personal protective equipment in designated areas.

While performing this position's duties, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear. The ability to lift and carry 10 lbs. regularly is required.
