Vice President of Quality Management

We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and mission-driven Vice President of Quality Management (QM) to lead Riverside’s quality, compliance, privacy, and risk management functions. This executive role ensures organizational excellence by aligning programs and practices with federal, state, and payer requirements while advancing safe, ethical, and person-centered care across the continuum of services.

As Vice President of Quality Management, you will:

  • Serve as Riverside’s Compliance and Privacy Officer, guiding our organization in HIPAA/privacy, human rights, accessibility, policy governance, and records management
  • Oversee our organization's response to incidents, critical events, and legal matters involving individuals served, ensuring accountability and compassionate resolution
  • Establish organization-wide frameworks, standards, and reporting structures that promote consistent quality and risk management practices
  • Partner with divisional leadership to identify trends to inform corrective actions and foster a culture of continuous quality improvement
  • Chair key organizational committees, represent Riverside in external quality forums, and cultivate strong, positive relationships with regulatory stakeholders
  • Lead the development, supervision, and succession planning of the Quality Management Department in collaboration with the President/CEO

Schedule: Full Time Monday - Friday with a minimum on-site presence of two days per week and additional in-office time as needed

Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000/year

Required Skills

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse stakeholders
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort using data systems and technology to support reporting and quality functions
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, payors, and legal partners
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle

Required Experience

  • Master’s degree preferred; bachelor’s degree required with 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in quality management, compliance, risk management, or related areas within behavioral health or human services
  • Demonstrated experience leading quality management functions and implementing organization-wide quality, compliance, risk, or performance improvement systems
  • Experience supervising and developing professional and para-professional staff
  • Experience in mental health, behavioral health, or developmental and cognitive services strongly preferred
