Assembly Technician
Production
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for assembling specialized remote switching equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assemble remote switching equipment according to engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.

Perform mechanical assembly tasks, including but not limited to mounting components, connecting wires, and securing assemblies.

Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete assembly tasks efficiently and accurately.

Inspect finished assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues as they arise, working collaboratively with engineering and production teams.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols and procedures at all times.

Assist in inventory management by tracking components and materials used in assembly.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance assembly processes and product quality.

Provide feedback to engineering and production teams regarding opportunities for process improvement and product enhancement.

Adhere to production schedules and deadlines to ensure timely delivery of finished products.
May be modified from time to time. Other duties, tasks and work may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS

Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.

Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in assembly work.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production schedules.

Basic computer skills for data entry and accessing assembly instructions.

Knowledge of safety procedures and practices in a manufacturing environment.

Willingness to learn and adapt to new assembly techniques and equipment.• Detail oriented, great attitude, team player, well organized.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communications.
• Organize and write procedures in a logical/methodical manner.
• Good time management skills; be able to multi-task
• Able to work at fast pace
• Work well in a team environment.
• Able to maintain confidential information.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school or equivalent GED certification.

Lifting requirements include occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and continuous lifting of up to 15 pounds.
