Summary

Radwell International is seeking a highly experienced Technical Training & Repair Specialist to serve as a senior technical resource within our Production organization. This role combines advanced troubleshooting, repair expertise, technician development, and operational support to strengthen technical capabilities across the organization.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical expert who enjoys mentoring others, solving difficult repair challenges, and improving technician performance. This position is designed for someone who wants to leverage their technical expertise beyond individual repairs and make a broader impact by helping develop the next generation of technicians.

Working closely with Production, Quality, and Operations leadership, this role serves as a trusted technical resource, helping technicians improve troubleshooting skills, reduce repeat failures, improve repair quality, and increase overall technical capability throughout the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities

Advanced Technical Execution

• Serve as the final technical escalation point for challenging, high-risk, or difficult repair issues
• Diagnose complex electronic and electro-mechanical failures using structured troubleshooting methodologies
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify systemic failure modes and drive long-term corrective actions
• Support resolution of quality concerns, warranty issues, and recurring technical problems
• Provide expert-level repair guidance across multiple product families and technologies
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on repair quality, consistency, and effectiveness

Technical Leadership & Mentorship

• Mentor, coach, and develop technicians through hands-on training, knowledge transfer, and structured technical guidance
• Strengthen technician troubleshooting methodology, diagnostic reasoning, and technical confidence
• Support onboarding and development of newly hired technicians
• Provide real-time troubleshooting assistance and technical decision support to repair teams
• Reinforce quality standards, repair best practices, and consistent work methods
• Help improve technician engagement, retention, and career development

Subject Matter Expertise & Escalation Support

• Serve as a recognized subject matter expert within assigned technologies and product families
• Provide technical guidance related to repair viability, product evaluation, BER determinations, and warranty-related concerns
• Partner with Quality and Operations teams to identify and address recurring failure modes and technical risks
• Maintain current knowledge of product technologies, repair techniques, and emerging industry trends

Training, Standardization & Documentation

• Develop and improve repair documentation, work instructions, troubleshooting guides, and training materials
• Support formal and informal training programs across production operations
• Identify technical knowledge gaps and recommend development initiatives
• Promote standardization and adherence to best practices across repair operations

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Partner with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams to support technical and operational goals
• Provide technical input for corrective actions and process improvement initiatives
• Share best practices and lessons learned to improve branch-wide technical capabilities
• Participate in projects focused on quality improvement, cycle-time reduction, and operational excellence

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Associate Degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline preferred
• 3-5 years of advanced electronics, industrial controls, automation, or electro-mechanical repair experience preferred
• Experience providing technical leadership, training, mentoring, or coaching is strongly preferred
• Experience supporting quality initiatives, troubleshooting escalations, and operational improvements preferred

 

Certifications

• Relevant technical certifications preferred
• Lean, Six Sigma, or structured problem-solving certifications are a plus

 

Compensation

The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $75,000-$100,000 annually.

Within the base pay range, individual compensation is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Work Schedule

This position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Additional hours may occasionally be required to support technician onboarding, training initiatives, operational projects, or critical technical escalations.

 

Work Environment

This position operates within a repair and technical production environment. Employees regularly interact with technicians, production personnel, quality teams, and leadership while providing technical guidance and support. Frequent standing, walking, troubleshooting, training, and hands-on technical work may be required. Employees must adhere to all company safety policies, identification requirements, and workplace standards.
