JOB SUMMARY

Primary duties will include but not limited to repair and / or calibration of Industrial Controls, (i.e. industrial grade PCBs, timers, counters, PLCs, drives, monitors and temperature & process controls.) Experience in servo and/or robotics industry a plus). Additionally, Test functionality of each unit repaired. Order parts as necessary for each unit processed. Update tracking notes in the computer system reflecting the steps take to repair each unit. Technicians will be required to perform repairs of units down to component level, using good soldering and troubleshooting skills. Use of test equipment (oscilloscope, multi-meter, function generator) and test fixtures to insure complete and proper repair of each unit is paramount. Must be able to work in a team environment and be computer literate.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

Technicians will be required to perform good soldering and troubleshooting skill down to component level, and the use of troubleshooting test equipment (Oscilloscope, Multi-meter, and Function Generator). Must be able to work in a team environment and be computer literate.

 

  •          (90%) Bench level electronic and electro-mechanical repair tasks using industry standard trouble shooting, repair and soldering skills.
  • (10%) Documentation of actions taken on each item and communication of completions, obstacles and concerns.
  •          Verifying Part Numbers on All Units Processed 
  •          Inspection, Cleaning and Testing of all Units
  •          Isolate Unit Failures
  •          Performing Repair of All Units
  •          Proper use of Shop Assets and Test Fixtures
  •          Power and Diagnostic Testing of All Units
  •          Programming
  •          Support Quality Methods, Processes and Procedures
  •          Support and Improve Quality of Final Product  
  •          Support Development of Capabilities
  •          Processing of Pre-evaluation Units to ‘RTS’ Ready to Sell condition 
  •          Proper Handling and Labeling on All Units
  •          Effective Time Management and Prioritization of Work
  •          Proper use of IT systems
  •          Provide your own Hand/Power tools

May be modified from time to time.  Other duties, tasks and work may be assigned.

·         Level 1 = $25.3K Produced Monthly, $150.60 Hourly Minimum 

·         Level 2 = $33K Produced Monthly, $196.43 Hourly Minimum 

·         Level 3 = $49.5K Produced Monthly, $294.64 Hourly Minimum  

·         Level 4 = $66K Produced Monthly, $392.86 Hourly Minimum  

·         Level 5 = $82.5K Produced Monthly, $491.07 Hourly Minimum  

·         Level 6 = $99K Produced Monthly, $589.29 Hourly Minimum  

·         Level 7 = $115.5K Produced Monthly, $687.50 Hourly Minimum  

·                 Periodic Aptitude Testing both written and Technical 

·                 Producing between 45 to 60 jobs per month 

 

WARRANTY METRICS 

 

Your individual expected Warranty rate must be maintained for a three-month period to be considered for advancement.  

 

BONUS/COMMISSION PLAN

Eligible for commission after successful completion of introductory 90 days.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Not applicable.  This position has no direct reports

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  •          Must understand the repair of Industrial Controls cycle; ability to understand the Radwell International repair of Industrial Controls cycle
  •          Strong technical skills; ability to learn and understand Radwell repair of Industrial Controls processes and procedures
  •          Required to bring your own tools as specified by the hiring manager

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

·         High School Diploma and/or Technical School Certification preferred (related field)

  • One to Three years related experience and/or training preferred
  • Technical or Industrial product knowledge preferred

·         Lifting requirements include occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds and continuous lifting of up to 10 pounds

WORK SCHEDULE

Work hours are typically 8:00am to 5:00pm and/ or 10:00am to 7:00pm, Monday through Friday, with one hour for lunch. Overtime work for each Saturday is scheduled and mandatory unless otherwise cancelled by senior management due to acceptable customer service levels and requirements.  Other overtime may be required if applicable and scheduled.  Adherence to attendance and coverage policies is expected to be followed diligently. Time off will be granted with proper formal notice in accordance with company policy.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The environment is a warehouse setting.  Dress attire is casual but professional in a warehouse setting.  All employees are required to wear “Radwear” (apparel with company logo) at all times once the initial supply (at company expense) has been received. Closed toed, hard sole heels are required.  Radwell ID Badge and Access cards must be worn at all times. Employees must adhere to all Radwell Safety Requirements at all times (see safety manual posted online).
