JOB SUMMARY
Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
Primary duties include but are not limited to helping to grow the business within your product area of expertise while supporting training and development of technicians that are newer to the organization. Applying your knowledge, experience and expertise and paying it forward within our organization. Dedicating a percentage of your time to supporting other technicians, fielding questions supporting troubleshooting scenarios and sharing best practices. All while being that elite level expert technical resource positioned within the department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· (70%) Bench level electronic and electro-mechanical repair tasks using industry standard trouble shooting, repair and soldering skills.
- (30%) Technician Mentoring, training and support of tech development thru sharing your prior experience, knowledge, and expertise.
- Produce an established minimum value of billable dollars monthly
- Helping to improve our technician retention as a added valuable expert technical resource to them placed within the shop operations
- Act as a resource for mentoring of newly hired technicians
- Support shop operations as a resource to the department supervisor and technician staff within your product area of expertise
- Improve our quality, capabilities, and performance as the leading services resource in the marketplace.
- Provide input during project planning and discussions related to your area of expertise in support of establishing effective technical work instructions in systems.
METRICS
- 50K minimum expected Gross repair volume output, monthly
- Support 2-5 new hire technician mentorships and/or development projects for existing technicians, annually or greater.
- Expected 10% growth in repair sales annual, within your product area of expertise
- Increase and sustained improvement to technician retention within the organization
- Support for your branch to maintain 20% max. of Level 1 technicians within your product area of expertise. We anticipate seeing an increase to the number of technicians developing up thru the process, to the senior level with your support.
REPAIR TECHNICIAN METRICS
- Periodic Aptitude Testing both written and Technical
WARRANTY METRICS
Maintain below 5% within your respective product area of expertise
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Not applicable. This position has no direct reports
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previously achieved Level 5 or greater output while maintaining under the maximum allowable warranty rate
- Senior experience on the bench 5 years or more on the bench within your product area of expertise
- Subject Matter expert in your respective product area
- Must understand the repair of Industrial Controls cycle; ability to understand the Radwell International repair of Industrial Controls cycle
- Strong technical skills: ability to learn and understand Radwell repair of Industrial Controls processes and procedures
- Must be a driven individual and Team player
- Required to bring your own tools as specified by the hiring manager

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
· High School Diploma and Technical School Certification required (related field)
- One to Three years related experience and/or training
- Technical or Industrial product knowledge a plus

- Lifting requirements include occasional lifting to 50 pounds, frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds and continuous lifting of up to 10 pounds
BONUS/COMMISSION PLAN
Eligible for commission after successful completion of introductory 90 days.
EMPLOYEE EVALUATION SUMMARY
Employee will be evaluated on quantitative productivity levels regarding number of repairs that result from actions, number of items processed/followed-up and related activity. In addition to regular coaching, employee will receive the following written evaluations:
- Introductory Review -- Will be written at approximately 80 days after employment and will be used to determine whether employee has sufficiently met and performed the job requirements, and will indicate whether employment will continue
- Monthly Reviews – Employee will be given a brief written monthly review primarily focused on quantitative performance and measurement of activity
- Annual Reviews – Employee will be given a formal regular annual review, which assesses productivity and demonstrated business skills and accomplishments for the previous period.
WORK SCHEDULE
Work hours are typically 8:00am to 5:00pm and/ or 10:00am to 7:00pm, Monday through Friday, with one hour for lunch. Overtime work for each Saturday is scheduled and mandatory unless otherwise cancelled by senior management due to acceptable customer service levels and requirements. Other overtime may be required if applicable and scheduled. Adherence to attendance and coverage policies is expected to be followed diligently. Time off will be granted with proper formal notice in accordance with company policy.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The environment is a warehouse setting. Dress attire is casual but professional in a warehouse setting. All employees are required to wear “Radwear” (apparel with company logo) at all times once the initial supply (at company expense) has been received. Closed toed, hard sole heels are required. Radwell ID Badge and Access cards must be always worn. Employees must always adhere to all Radwell Safety Requirements (see safety manual posted online).
