JOB SUMMARY

Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Develop, implement, perform and direct processes, systems and people for the corporate budgeting, accounting, management, control, and auditing of assets and expenses.  Manage, improve, and provide greater visibility of corporate-wide global expenses via the regular daily reporting of KPIs and ongoing financial information. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

·         Develop and manage overall company budgets, forecasting, and variance analysis specifically related to asset and expense management by working with and providing budget, forecasting and variance analysis for individual divisions, departments, companies, branches, business units, and entire corporation

·         Manage, administer and support Adaptive tool as the information source for creating, maintaining, and updating detailed revenue and expense forecasting and P&L analysis and reporting at various levels of the organization 

·         Develop Cost-benefit analysis and business plans and ROI analysis and other ad hoc analysis for expense reduction projects and opportunities

·         Oversee and coordinate expense allocation processes and methodologies and ensure processes (policies and procedures) are in place for the control, approval, tracking, and auditing of expenditures; tying to the various sales categories, entities cost centers

·         Continually seek opportunities to streamline and automate processes; identify gaps, holes, and process deficiencies in expense and asset related management processes; identify cost savings and efficiency opportunities related to corporate and operational assets and operating expenses; implement improvements

·         Management and improvement of travel and entertainment and corporate credit card expense processes including travel and expense policies and guidelines, approval and procurement of travel services.

·         Implementation and ongoing management of a process for the control and management of company vehicles including the cost effective procurement, maintenance, business use and accounting, and management of vehicle/fleet  assets that support company sales and internal operations

·         Oversight, management, and control of the procurement of, use and proper accounting, cost management and allocation for various internal asset/expense areas including machinery; equipment; computer systems, software, and equipment; personnel expenses; maintenance supplies, office supplies, and consumables; services; property; and other company asset/expense areas. 

·         Guide other departments, locations, and business units by providing periodic reporting of financial results against budgets and forecasts, and performing variance analysis to explain differences and to make improvements going forward.

METRICS

·         To meet or exceed expense ratios and EBITDA results

·         To meet deadlines and objectives as agreed and typically described in quarterly reviews or project planning / tracking

·         To handle ongoing projects and day-to-day demands that are not identified in formal monthly objectives in a timely and accurate manner

 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Direct reports include staff dedicated to managing and administrating expense and asset management processes and systems including T&E/credit card, fleet asset management and others to be determined and to be developed

·         Responsible for corporate management tasks in existence and that will come into existence that is generally the responsibility of all managers with direct reports. Examples include but are not limited to writing quarterly and yearly reviews, approving timesheets, approving expense reports, etc.

 

 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED 

·         Knowledge and deep understanding of accounting theory and experience in applying accounting principles (GAAP); and understanding and ability in overall financial management and analysis.

·         Strong analytical, management, and communication skills, problem solving ability, opportunity recognition capability, detail oriented, and a personal commitment to quality and hands-on management style. Ability to work well with other executive management and managers, with a positive attitude and excellent work ethic.    

·         Strong computer proficiency in the use and application MS software applications especially Excel, Adaptive, and other tools and internally developed systems including P21, Spectrum, Halo

·         Ability to multi-task and work at a fast pace.

·         Ability to work effectively in a Director capacity with little or no supervision

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 

·         High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

·         BS or MBA in Business Management, Accounting or Financial Management preferred

·         Working knowledge of and experience with GAAP

·         Experience with international management and financial analysis, with a preference for international accounting experience, IFRS, international operations and multi currency reporting.  

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The position is in an office environment and entails:

·         Continuous sitting resulting from computer usage for extended periods

·         Occasional walking (including to other departments and buildings) reaching and lifting.

COMPENSATION

$150K-175K annually
