 The Role

 

As a Finance Administrator, you will provide vital support to the Finance Team by carrying out a range of administrative and clerical duties. You will work in a professional and courteous manner, contributing to financial projects and the overall efficiency of the department. Your responsibilities will include:

  •         Proactively follow up with UK suppliers to obtain official VAT invoices to ensure accurate and timely VAT reclaim.
  •         Post UK PayPal transactions accurately into the accounting system.
  •         Maintain and regularly clear the Goods Received Not Invoiced (GRNI) account and perform general housekeeping of financial records.
  •         Ensure accurate and timely matching of PayPal payments to goods receipts in the accounting system.
  •         Assist with matching and posting of UK and European purchase invoices.
  •         Resolve purchase invoice queries across Europe by liaising with internal teams and external suppliers in a timely and professional manner
  •         Follow up on goods received information to facilitate accurate invoice matching for European purchases.
  •         Provide cover for Accounts Receivable (AR) cash posting and matching during team members’ annual leave.
  •         Support other Accounts Payable (AP) functions as needed during staff absences.
  •         Follow up on AR queries as required, engaging with both internal stakeholders and external customers.
  •         Perform general administrative tasks as needed.
  •         Assist with internal communications and team coordination as required.

About You

 

With strong computer proficiency and excellent attention to detail, you will bring valuable previous administrative experience to the role. The comprehensive training we provide will be complemented by your existing skills and knowledge. In addition, you will possess:

  •          Previous experience in an administrative role
  •           A proactive approach and positive attitude
  •           Exceptional attention to detail
  •           Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  •           Proficiency in computer systems, particularly Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  •           A basic understanding of transactional accounting
  •           Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, maintaining a professional telephone manner
  •           Minimum of GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above
