Inventory Support Associate

JOB SUMMARY
Monday-Friday 8am - 5pm
An Inventory Control Associate is responsible for overseeing and managing inventory levels within a company or warehouse to ensure accurate records and efficient operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels through regular audits, cycle counts, and reconciliations.
• Record and update inventory data using computerized systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Receive incoming shipments, inspect items for damages, and update inventory records accordingly.
• Coordinate with other departments to fulfill orders, ensuring that the correct quantities and products are picked and shipped.
• Generate reports on inventory levels, discrepancies, and trends. Provide insights and recommendations for improving inventory control processes.
• Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) and other stock rotation methods to minimize product expiration and obsolescence.
• Communicate with suppliers to resolve discrepancies, coordinate returns, and ensure accurate replenishment.
• Work closely with warehouse associates, purchasing teams, and other relevant departments to optimize inventory processes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to inventory transactions, adjustments, and movements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in inventory management.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed recommendations for improvement.
• Ability to identify and address inventory discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
• Familiarity with inventory management software and proficiency in using relevant computer tools.
• Willingness to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate data entry and inventory records.
• Ability to operate equipment used in inventory management, both motorized and non-motorized (i.e. forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, suppliers, and other departments.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field may be preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Frequent walking
• Continuous standing and repetitive hand motion
• Lifting requirements include frequent lifting of up to 35 pounds, occasional lifting to 100 pounds and continuous lifting of up to 10 pounds.
