The Director of Sales is responsible for driving overall business growth and strengthening relationships with national and large independent distributors across Canada. This leadership role involves managing direct sales staff and third-party sales agents, overseeing key customer agreements, collaborating with marketing for brand development, and ensuring the achievement of annual sales targets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to identify new growth opportunities within the electrical industry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Business & Relationship Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, from branch managers to C-suite executives.
· Account Management: Manage volume rebate agreements & pricing strategies with major customers to drive sales growth.
· Sales Team Leadership: Oversee direct outside sales staff and third-party sales agents, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
· Brand Building & Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing manager to promote brand awareness and showcase company capabilities.
· Industry Engagement: Identify and capitalize on industry events and forums to enhance brand recognition and expand market presence.
· Sales Budget & Quota Management: Develop and execute strategies to meet and exceed the annual sales budget for Canada.

Required Skills
QUALIFICATIONS
· 10+ years of experience in business development with a strong focus on sales growth.
· Proven track record of achieving and exceeding company sales goals.
· Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
· Excellent business acumen, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
· Industry experience in electrical sales is an asset.
· Post-secondary education (University or College degree) required.
· May be modified from time to time. Other duties, tasks and work may be assigned.
