JOB SUMMARY

Primary duties of this position are to assist in receiving and packaging orders and occasionally will be required to complete stock pulls for customer orders.  Will receive in all parcels from couriers, ensuring packages are correctly accounted for.   Identify all incoming products, breakdown, and allocate to the correct department.
 

COMPENSATION:

$18.00-19.00 per hour plus benefits

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

 

  • Unloading/Assisting couriers with incoming deliveries.
  • Landing all parcels correctly and allocating to the correct department
  • Breakdown and place all products into the correct bins, ensuring all conveyers are clear at day end
  • Report any delivery problems to supervisor
  • Maintain an organized receiving environment
  • Maintain our focus on customer service while performing various order processing tasks
  • Assist in packaging of industrial electronics and related components for shipment, ensuring all orders are packaged and labeled correctly.
  • Any other duties as directed by supervisor or management

 

May be modified from time to time. Other duties, tasks and work may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Not applicable.  This position has no direct reports.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong organizational skills are required

• General knowledge of Windows based software (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)

• Must be a team player with focus on department growth and process improvement

• Must work well in a team environment with constant interaction among the staff

 METRIC & MEASUREMENT

•Package Handling - Employee must maintain standard packaging procedures that assure accuracy, while adjusting the volume of work.

• Packaging counts are measured and checked for accuracy against standard.

• Employee will be evaluated on the accuracy of the orders packaged and his/her performance level as measured against volume demand.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

BONUS/COMMISSION PLAN

This role is eligible for commission as part of the warehouse commission plan

 

EMPLOYEE EVALUATION SUMMARY

  • Introductory Review -- Will be written at approximately 90 days after employment and will be used to determine whether employment will continue
  • Monthly reviews – Employee will be given a brief written monthly review primarily focused on quantitative performance and measurement of activity.
  • Annual Reviews – Monthly reviews will factor in as a big part of this process along with attendance, job knowledge, overall performance and dependability.

 

WORK SCHEDULE

This is an hourly position. The schedule for this position is 8.00am – 5.00p, Monday through Friday. Employee is expected to come to work on time and adhere to accepted time-off policies.  Employee is required to be available for additional time as needed.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The environment is a professional open office environment located in the production warehouse and shipping area.  Dress attire is casual but professional closed-toe, hard soled shoes must be worn.  All employees are required to wear “Radwear” (apparel with company logo) at all times once the initial supply (at company expense) has been received.  Closed-toe shoes must be worn.
