QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to trouble shoot electrical circuits safely and make repairs.

Cleans electrical parts.
Removes and reinstalls electrical components on circuit breakers with documentation.
Reads breaker evaluation and work order and performs the service the customer is requesting.
Disassembles circuit breakers.
Works safely on stored energy mechanisms.
Troubleshoots and repairs circuit breakers.
Reads manuals and follows detailed instructions on adjusting equipment.
Reads schematic, point-to-point and one-line wiring diagrams.
Tests and troubleshoots electrical wiring.
Electrically operates a circuit breaker from wiring schematic (charge, close and trip)
Operates test equipment relevant to breaker type.
Takes electrical parts off a breaker to recondition them (aux switch, motor, relay, coils)
Makes sure electric parts work properly before putting them on a breaker.
Supports onsite and emergency jobs when needed.
May be modified from time to time. Other duties, tasks and work may be assigned
METRICS
Completes reconditioning of breakers in a timely manner based on experience.
Ensures work area remains tidy.
Maintains records of all work performed including images of initial breakers received and throughout the project.
Project and demand oriented as defined by the objectives set forth by operations manager and measured based on meeting objectives, completion on time, accuracy and neatness of work, etc.

Not applicable. This position has no direct reports.

Required Skills
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints and diagrams
- General knowledge of maintenance including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, woodwork, and welding
- Proficiency in the use of small hand tools including soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, socket drivers, and pliers
- Aptitude to learn machining and painting including spray-booth operations
- Electrical troubleshooting skills and general handyman capabilities
- Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical assembly work
- Ability to read and interpret simple drawings such as product charts and diagrams
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow directions accurately and work within established procedures
- Proficiency in using electrical test equipment and recording results via written form and computer data entry
- Ability to operate a forklift or pallet jack for loading and unloading vehicles
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assembly standards
- Computer data entry skills for documentation and test result recording
- Ability to maintain and store tools and equipment in proper operating condition
- Safety awareness and compliance with workplace safety regulations
Required Experience
- 2 to 5 years of hands-on mechanical or technical experience, preferably as an automotive mechanic or in a related trade
- Experience performing assembly tasks including cleaning parts, cutting wire, wiring, and fastening terminal connections
- Prior experience working with electrical or electronic components in an assembly or repair environment
- Experience reading and following work instructions, blueprints, wire lists, and technical diagrams
- Demonstrated experience using small hand tools and power tools in a professional setting
- Experience with electrical test equipment and accurately documenting test results
- Background in facility maintenance including knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, woodwork, or welding
- Experience participating in corrective and preventive action processes within a team or department
- Experience with forklift or pallet jack operation is a plus
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in a manufacturing, repair, or technical service environment preferred
- Proven track record of maintaining tools and equipment in calibrated and proper working condition
